ANNUAL BREAST CANCER RETREAT
In 2000 Newfoundland and
Labrador's first retreat was held at
Littledale Conference Centre
in St. John's. At the end of that first weekend, the
participants
were already planning the following year's agenda. More than 70
women came and a sea change had begun, all thanks to an idea expressed
by Gerry Rogers
during a breast cancer support teleconference one wintry Saturday
earlier that year.Every year since then, the Annual Breast Cancer Retreat has been held in a different region of the province and attendance has steadily grown.
This "Circle of Friends" logo, designed by artist and retreat participant June Foley, was adopted for the Annual Retreat in 2003.

Breast Cancer Foundation, and every year an astonishing mix of individuals,
organizations and
businesses, big
and small, pull together to make sure that as many women living with breast cancer in the province as possible can
come.
Perhaps
you're thinking of making a quilt to raffle or
hosting a card game - there are many ways to show your support. Contact the coordinator with your fundraising ideas.Retreat Activities
